How many of us are always looking for blessings from the LORD, pray for them constantly but never once take an inventory of the blessings we have already received? How can GOD continue to bless us if we never thank him for the blessings he has already bestowed on us and that we be content with his provision?
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
While many people constantly quote Phil 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” I rarely hear the preceding verses quoted
“11b….for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”
Think about what GOD has done for you, the most important being the free gift of salvation, eternal life through his son Jesus Christ: All else pales in comparison.
